Electricity research report - special report

The Climate Change Authority released a Special Review research report on policy options for Australia's electricity supply sector on 31 August 2016. The report draws on analysis including commissioned economy-wide and electricity sector modelling to compare the performance of a range of possible electricity sector emissions reduction policies.

This electricity sector research report forms part of the Authority’s Special Review into Australia’s emissions reduction policies. It sets out the Authority’s detailed analysis of the electricity supply sector, which informed its conclusions and recommendations for the electricity sector in Towards a climate policy toolkit: Special Review on Australia’s climate goals and policies.
